6 Feng Shui tips to Attract Money Into Your Life

When I started my interest in interior designing, Feng shui (pronounced fung shway) was a topic commonly discussed. According to Feng shui, your home should represent a balance of all of the areas of your life.  What your life is like outside of your home is usually reflected inside your home and vice-versa.

As I learned more about incorporating Feng shui, I found that there is a connection to wealth building.

So, if one of your goals has been to attract money into your life, here are a couple of simple things you can do in your home to invite wealth in, according to Feng shui.

Declutter.  A lot of people would dismiss “decluttering” talk as empty theory. They think people are speculating. They readily dismiss such ideas as flat-out impractical. I’ve got great news for you.  It’s not!

You can actually get measurable results; you can actually see the impact of decluttering and the best part of all of this is that you take the lead. When you are standing in the front door, looking into your home. Clean all of the clutter you can.  Make the inside of your house shine!

Light some candles.  Candles represent the FIRE element in Feng Shui, bringing more heat and expansive energy.  Light candles or turn on a bright, upward facing light in this area to light it up and bring in lots of positive chi!

Make sure that you light them with the intention of bringing lots of positive energy into your finances!

Feng Shui your wallet or purse!  Remove all of your old receipts, organizing your credit and debit cards, and organizing any paper money and coins.  Give your money a happy place to live and watch it grow!

I don’t know about you, but my purse and wallet tend to get really cluttered every few weeks, so it’s always good to clean it out and spruce it up.

Clean your front door.  The front door is very, very important in Feng Shui, because it welcomes new opportunities into your life.  You don’t have to do anything drastic here, but cleaning your front door with a little bit of salt water and making sure there aren’t any cobwebs will go a long way towards welcoming in new wealth.

Create a good working space. Your work desk, whether at home or at the office, should never face a wall as this creates a sort of block limiting your creative flow and opportunities. Re-arrange your desk so that it is facing space or a window with a view where you can feel a better flow of energy. Placing chairs in front of your desk for visitors is also recommended to help attract prosperity.

Decorate your home with plants. Plants are sensitive to energy, and are therefore indicative of the energy flowing in your home. When your plants are lush and blooming, it is a good sign that the energy in your home is alive and abundant. But if your plants are browning, sagging, or dying, it is a tell-tale sign that the energy in your home is low and stagnant. Keep plants around, and make sure they are well taken care of and thrive so that good energy is also invited into your home.

Although these Feng shui tips are said to help attract money and abundance into your life, keep in mind that these are only meant to help clear energies in your home and give you support to achieve prosperity. At the end of the day, Feng shui will not bring you wealth if you do not work for it.  That’s where I come in to “feng shui” your finances. Contact me and we can talk about how.
